If you’re a gin lover, the annual Gin and Tonic Festival held at the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, Cape Town, should definitely be on your to do list. And if you’ve ever wanted to feel the energy and spirit of South Africa, this was the place to be! Watch the video to get a glimpse into this very special day.
This year the festival was held on the 16th of April, and it was a first for Two Gingers Gin. Fans old and new who visited us on the day met the ebullient Two Gingers, Simon and Wynand, and got to share in the spirit and joy of this young venture.
Our stylish, custom-built gin lounge was extremely popular throughout the day, offering a great place to watch the live music, party with the Two Gingers team, to see and be seen. Ross (our third Ginger and the Two Gingers Distiller) and James served up Pink Pomelo and Spice Route gin and tonics, while those who prefer a little sweetness were offered delicious Ginger Apple or Ginger Connection cocktails.
Spot prizes were handed out throughout the day, with the Two Gingers Hats and Sunglasses being particularly popular and visible throughout the festival. And if you were a ‘ginger-haired’ visitor, you qualified for a prize without even trying!
You can recreate the festival cocktails in your own home – head on over to our Cocktail Recipes page.
